            Paymentsmade by or for students to participate on athletic school teams are eligible toclaim the team fee for income tax purposes. The child must be under 16 years ofage at the beginning of the year in which the expenses are paid. Up to $500.00may be claimed for each student.

            Achild born on January 1, 1992 or later would be eligible.

            Achild born on December 31, 1991 or earlier would not be eligible.

            Pleasehave the student give the following information to the office on a letter tothe main office titled “Fitness Tax Credit” with the followinginformation:

-         amount ( we can determine this if thesport is identified)

-         date received 9approximate start ofthe season)

-         full name of parent

-         full name of child

-         child’s year of birth

            The final guest sponsored by the KVHS PSSC is onTuesday, April8. The speaker will be Sherry LaPoint-Booy from the CanadianMental Health Association. The session will begin at 7:00 pm in the KVHSlibrary.

            The topic is “stress, anxiety anddepression”

            Is my child depressed when they spend hours intheir room, do not eat and do not sleep; is my child experiencing anxiety whenthey refuse to go to school – how can I help and who in my community canI get help fom?

The annual KVHS Spring Fling (yard sale) will takeplace on May 10^th, 2008 from 9a.m.to 2p.m. at KVHS.  As fundsraised from the sale will support our KVHS Graduates, we are asking everyone tocollect all of their yard sale items and save them until Friday evening May 9^th, when they can be dropped off at KVHS.  In particular, we are lookingfor:  clothing, household goods, books, perennials and house plants.
