            December 21, Friday is a regularly scheduledday. There are two activities to which teachers may sign up to bring theirclasses during period 4 or 5.

            Monday, January 7 is a professional developmentday for teachers and an extended holiday for students. All students arescheduled to begin classes on Tuesday, January 8.

            There will be a major announcement about a DreamHome during the first week of January. The web site kvdreamhome.com has thedetails. Tickets are $100.00 each and can be purchased at a number of locationsincluding the school and on line. The proceeds will be going towards theconstruction of artificial turf sports fields behind the school. The fieldswill de available for school and community use.

Today I placed the grad write-ups form and class list inyour mailboxes for your period four class.  Please remind your grade12’s in period four that they need to be thinking of what they want towrite in their grad write-up.  You could have the students complete theirgrad write-up any time in fourth period, however, time at the beginning ofperiod four on Friday, December 14will be given for this task.  Yearbook staff will be coming around to yourfourth period class to collect the competed write-ups on Friday.  I have asked the yearbookstaff to make note of any students who are absent on Friday or who choose notto complete their write-up.  However, if you could assist in this processit would be a great help.  An announcement will be made at the beginningof period four on Friday to remindeveryone.  Thanks so much for your help and if you have any questions,please ask.

            TheKVHS Parent School Support Committee plans to hold a speaker series forparents. There is a survey on our web site www.kvhigh.comthat we are asking parents to complete so our PSSC can best meet your interestsby identifying the best topics and time to hold the sessions. Please click onthe title PSSC Survey andcomplete the survey at your convenience before the holidays. Plans will be madebased on your feedback. Your input will be appreciated.

Information forms about the English Language Proficiency Assessment and Reassessment weregiven today to students who will write one or both portions of this assessment.Please read the information and sign the bottom of the form. Your son ordaughter must return this form to his or her period one teacher as soon aspossible because all forms must be sent to Fredericton.

            Thereading portion of the ELPA will be written on Monday, January 21, at 1:00 pm.

            TheWriting portion will be written during the week of March 31.

            All grade 12 students who did not have their photos taken by Oak Treeneed to bring two wallet size graduation photos and $5 to Mr. Howe by next week. The photos are for the yearbook and the composite that is hung on the schoolwall. The $5.00 is given to Oak Tree to help with the cost of the compositewhich they provide to the school.
