TheKVHS Athletic Award ceremony will be Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Refreshments willbe served in the foyer at 6:00 followed by the awards presentations at 6:30.
Anystudent who has participated on an athletic team this year is encouraged toattend. As well, parents are welcome to attend the ceremony free of charge.
Thefollowing are student free days:
- May 2: provincial subject council meetingsfor teachers
- May 16: District 6 New BrunswickTeachers Association annual general meeting
- May 19: Victoria Day
KV will be hosting a fashion show on Thursday May 1, 2008 at7:30pm. It is a benefit event for the Romero House. It is a soup kitchen in Saint John. That isrunning out of food for people who can not effort it. Tickets are $15.00. Therewill be refreshments, belly dancing, door prizes and more. Some of the doorprizes consist of Irvinggift cards, spa treatments and gift cards to local restaurants. Your ticketstub will serve as a 10% discount coupon at Le chateau, Tip Top Tailor and Watertons.

Our KVHSSafe Grad committee wants to remind you that the drop off for Our Spring Flingfundraiser is on Friday May 9th between 6 and 8 p.m,. By donating your good used clothing,household items, books, perennials and house plants you can support our 2008Safe Grad activities. Theannual general meeting of the district 6 New Brunswick Teachers Associationwill be held on May 16. This will be a student free day.
Thegeneral information meeting for parents and guardians of current Grade 8students who will be attending KVHS in September will be at 7:00 pm in the KVHScafeteria on Monday, April 28.

School District 6 ispleased to invite you to attend a workshop for parents with children in publicschools sponsored by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education. Itwill be hosted by the Career Workroom of School District 6, on May 1, 2008 from6:30-8:30 pm, at Kennebecasis Valley High School. The workshop will provide valuableinformation about resources for careers and both long and short termpreparation for post-secondary training and education. Please see the attachedagenda for details.
The workshop will be led by Gary Rabbior, President and CEO of the CanadianFoundation for Economic Education, and the best selling author of “Moneyand Youth.”
As part of our School District 6 Improvement Plan, we focus on thetransition of students. This session certainly supports our goal ofhelping students and parents as they work together to make important decisionsabout destinations after high school.
