That is the Great Debate of late!  An admitted, Jimmy fan, I think the test will come with this season.  His defense didn't slip last year, but sometimes, he just stunk at the plate!  Time will tell.  He knows it's a big year.  We will see...

This is the famous shot that sent the Cards to Game 7 of the NLCS in 2004.  Where were you?  Not only was I in the stadium with my friend Jeanne, I predicted it 2 innings earlier!  This was the bottom of the 12th, but Jimmy had come up in the bottom of the 10th and I could just feel that he was going to be the one to hit a homer and end the game!  I know, I can hear you:  "Yeah, right!" but I called it!  And I will never forget how much Jeanne and I were jumping up and down with abject joy!!

They really haven't done anything big with their roster - again.  Zambrano always worries me, but Prior still has yet to become the pitcher everyone says he is to become, and he is NEVER healthy at the beginning of the season.  And will Wood even be back?  I think they should put him in the bullpen as a closer.  Hopefully they won't listen to me, because it is always comforting to see the Cubs bullpen coming in - if you're a Cards fan, that is!

I think it is a great idea in theory, but, a) we are going to get our butts kicked, and b) I'm afraid we are going to see too much injury and no one will want to participate in the future.  I think the concept belongs in the Olympics and if the Olympics hadn't taken baseball out, we wouldn't be talking about this.
